GOOD NEWS! P7,000 Medical Allowance for each Gov't Employee, Approved!

 DBM Secretary Pangandaman also announced that a total of PHP9.6 billion has been allocated for the medical allowance of government workers starting next year.

This allocation will grant each government worker PHP7,000 for their medical allowance, which can be used as a subsidy for Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) benefits or similar services.

The budget chief clarified that the yearly medical allowance can be utilized for various medical needs, ensuring that public employees are better equipped to handle health-related emergencies.

Pangandaman earlier said that almost P10 billion was allotted for government workers' Medical allowance benefits in the proposed 2025 budget, noting that they currently do not have incentives for medical checkups and hospitalizations.
